Job Mission

As a Technical Account Manager / vCIO, you will manage our larger account customer relationships, assist in timely delivery of projects and onboardings of new clients, as well as ensure the team is providing high-touch support from help desk to installations and beyond. You will have demonstrated experience in technical leadership and be ready for a dynamic yet process oriented day to day atmosphere.

Outcomes

An ideal Technical Account Manager / vCIO candidate will have a deep business and technology background (ideally degrees in both or highly relevant work history spanning over at least 7 years). Technical Account Manager / vCIOs will have demonstrated an understanding of things such as:

· L3 or higher tech experience, even if not more recent position

· Business skills and an understanding of how business values technology

o Specifically, understands flow of Financials (P&L <> balance sheet vs cash flow or at least the equity side and value building)

o Understands leases

o Understands distribution, partner programs, margins, etc.

o Understanding of M&A, especially due diligence and integration phases

· Ability to create a 3-YR IT budget

· Interest and knowledge in cybersecurity within IT environment

· Have at least one area of technical or professional specialization (cybersecurity, compliance, cloud architecture, etc) that applies to client base

· Optimization and efficiency gains through technology, cost controls, etc.

· Technology consulting (NOT SALES) and communications skills around it

The Technical Account Manager / vCIO will be responsible for:

· At least monthly review a client’s environment for risks and improvements and capture to vCIO platform.

· Provide IT MD&A to clients on a quarterly basis

· Quickly (within 30 mins or less) respond to questions from top client contacts (Executives / C-Suite)

· Keep multi-year budget up to date

· Meet regularly (monthly or quarterly) with their clients

· Work with Professional Services Engineers to create written proposals and present to both technical and non-technical audiences

· Continue professional development to keep up to date on emerging technologies and best practices

· Assist in the productization of our services, building repeatable pricing solutions, spec sheets and scope of work

· Collaborate with others for video tutorials, technical webinars and Brain Food (lunch and learn) events

· Assist in onboarding of new monthly agreement clients, leading our technical team through this process while building trusting relationships with clients

· Report regularly to company CIO

Competencies

· An MBA and IT Background (BS or MS in Information Science, Computer Science, etc.) or career equivalents are preferred

· 5+ years of technical, sales or account management experience in a B2B environment, or closely related

· 5+ years of experience in building proposals, solutions or QBR’s (Quarterly Business Reviews)

· 5+ years of experience presenting solutions to C-Suite / Executive style audience

· Prior experience with Sales CRM or similar Content Management System is beneficial

· Demonstrated leadership in direct customer support position

· Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with minimum supervision

· Exceptional attention to detail

· Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented environment

· Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with ability to establish client confidence

· 10-25% of your work time will require travel to local client sites.
